Chapter 1 — The Prophet Israil

Yaqub grew up in the prophetic household of Ishaq, steeped in the tradition of Ibrahim. Allah granted him the name Israil — whose exact meaning is debated among scholars, but whose general sense is "servant or striver of Allah." He became a prophet in Canaan and had twelve sons who became the ancestors of the twelve tribes of Israel — one of the most enduring social structures in human history. Among his sons, Yusuf was the most beloved, endowed with exceptional beauty and intelligence. Yaqub very early perceived Yusuf's exceptional gifts and advised him to keep his dream secret so as not to provoke his brothers' jealousy. This prophetic advice reveals the practical wisdom of the prophets: they are not only transmitters of revelation but guides in daily life.

📖 Quranic verse

🇬🇧 We gave him Isaac and additionally Jacob — We made them all righteous

💡 Lessons

🌱Patience in trial (sabr jamil) is an active form of faith, not passive resignation.
🔥Complaining only to Allah about one's suffering, rather than to created beings, is the mark of the sincere servant.
💎Jealousy destroys families; parents must be attentive to it from childhood.
🌟Allah never leaves the patient believer in trial without granting a way out.
🤲Unexpected reunions and healings are reminders of divine omnipotence.
